Kathy Gagin, a library assistant with the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County’s Main Branch, signed a Christmas card that will be sent to a local veteran. Members of the Friends of the Library are providing holiday cards for residents to send to veterans. Their purpose is to spread holiday cheer to all those who have served, helping to brighten their spirits this Christmas season. All area residents are invited to visit the Main library or the Schiappa branch now through Dec. 20 to locate a Christmas card and write a holiday message inside, expressing appreciation for their service. Cards can be found at Urban Thrift and Historic Fort Steuben as well, officials said.
