A successful fundraiser
Mark Prichard, pastor of Crossroads North River Church, presented a $1,038 donation to the Helping Hands food pantry. The money was raised through the sale of cabbage rolls, haluski and mashed potatoes on Sept. 4. The fundraiser, which coincided with the Toronto Art Festival, was a huge success, with nearly 300 cabbage rolls sold in two and a half hours. On hand for the presentation were, from left, Helping Hands volunteer Amanda Foster, Prichard, Virginia Stimpert, the food pantry’s director; and Paula Stackhouse, also a volunteer there.
