Cadiz Women’s Golf League
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League hosted 60 women for its annual Guest Day Scramble on July 21.
The winning scramble team included Roberta Cireddu, Tracy Amos, Jenna Britton and Tina Phillips. The second-place team included Janis Cook, Joyce Berdine, Sherry Sapon and Chris Muroski.
Prize hole winners were as follows: Brenda Hartley, closest to the flamingo; Tracy Amos, closest to the pin second shot; Cindy Davis, longest putt; Jane Tarr, closest to the pin; Pam Didominico, longest drive; and Billie Stanwick, closest to the zig zag line. Kathy Newburn won the 50/50 drawing.
Prize basket winners were Tammy Koutsky, Brenda McCloskey, Millie Romshak, Cathy Jackson, Carol Johnson, Judy Crawshaw, Roberta Cireddu, Becky Bauer, Lori DeFallo and Sandy Terek.
This year’s theme was “Cheeseburgers in Paradise.” Next week’s play of the day will be “Christmas in July.”
Red Oaks Ladies League
On July 19, the women of the Red Oaks Ladies League played the front nine. The play of the day was “Red-Yellow White.
There was a tie for first place and going to the card for the tie-breaker, Kathi Moore took first place and Yuko Atwell took second place.
Brenda McCloskey was the third-place winner.
Ruth Lamantia had the longest drive on the seventh hole. Tammy Cox won the low putt honors. Yuko Atwell had a chip-in on the ninth hole.
On Monday, the group travels to Wellsburg to play at Highland Springs. The play of the day will be “Find the Fairway.”
Call the course at (304) 737-2201 before 3:30 p.m. the day of play to sign up. Participants are asked to be at the course by 4:45 p.m. for a 5 p.m. tee-off.
Town and Country
Town and Country Golf members finally played “Two-Women Best Ball with Handicap” on July 15.
Winners were Dora Elizaga and Vicki Brozka with a 25, and second place was earned by Norma Henson and Veronica Foldi with a 26. Low putts was Dora Elizaga.

Long drive hole No. 1: A flight, Foldi; B flight, Pat Zorne; and C flight, Margie Serafini.
Long drive hole No. 9: A flight, Kathy Antinone; B flight, Toni Jean Dondzila; and C flight, Nancy Lelli.
Closest to the pin hole No. 8: A flight, Foldi; B flight, Shirley Guida; and C flight, Lelli.
