Cadiz Women’s Golf League
The Cadiz Women’s Golf League’s play of the day on July 29 was “T’s and F’s” minus one-half handicap. Hostesses were Paula Hope and Marilyn Kenny.
The winners were: First place, Carole Patton; second place, Carol Lepic; and third place, Brenda Hartley.
Low putt winners were Roberta Cireddu and Kathy Newburn. Lori DeFallo had an eagle on hole No. 1. Janis Cook, Brenda Hartley, Billie Stanwick and Roberta Cireddu had birdies while Marilyn Kenny, Brenda Hartley, Billie Stanwick, Carole Patton and Ginny Ferrell had chip-ins.
Next week begins the league championship. Billie Stanwick, Millie Romshak and Ellen Barner are hostesses.
Mountaineer Woodview Thursday Morning Golf League
Mountaineer Woodview Thursday Morning Golf League played July 24 with the following results:
Mishal Hawthorne, closest to the pin on hole No. 6: Elaine Minda, closest to the pin on hole No. 8; Mary Ann Bainbridge, closest to the pin on hole No. 14 and closest to the pin in two on hole No. 17; and Mischal Hawthorne and Elaine Minda tied for low putts.
Red Oaks Ladies League
The women of the Red Oaks Ladies League traveled to Wellsburg on July 27 to play at Highland Springs Golf Course.
The play of the day was N.O.S.E. The winners of the nine-hole round were Kathi Moore, first place; Yuko Atwell, second place; and Ruth Lamantia, third place.
Neysa McCart won the putting honors. On hole No. 6, Brenda McKloskey won the skill prize of longest drive and Kathi Moore recorded a birdie.
The league will play at Red Oaks on Monday.
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League played a team scramble on July 30.
Winners were: Team first, Cynde Vidas, Arlene Owens and Tammy Cox; and team second, tie, Debbie Phillippi, Vickie Grant and Mary Arehart and Dru Fleshour, Neysa McCart and Carmella Wallace.
Other winners were:
Long drive: A flight, Cynde Vidas; B flight, Vickie Grant; and C flight, Pat Carey.
Closest to the pin: A flight, Cynde Vidas; B flight, Vickie Grant; and C flight, Tammy Cox.
Mary Arehart won the 50-50 drawing.
No chip-Ins were recorded.
