A helping hand

Pictured are some of the members of the Christian Brotherhood of Second Baptist Church, located at 717 Adams St., Steubenville, who helped with repairs to a handicap ramp for Connie Blackwell. The ramp’s need for repairs caught the attention of William Hendricks and Kym Morgan, the drivers of the church van that picks up children for Sunday School. They noticed its condition and reported that to a church meeting. The group immediately addressed the problem and made the necessary repairs with material aide from Lowe’s. Members pictured areCelebrating the project’s completion were Brother John Barnes, Deacon Valentino Jackson, Deacon William Harvey, Brother Hamilton Simmons and Brother Richard Beal with J’Meir and T.J. Faulks and Connie Blackwell. Also active in the Christian Brotherhood are James Baber, Brother Robert Smith, Deacon Keith Murray, Deacon Chester Dixon and Deacon James Smith. The church’s pastor is Marvin L. Barner.
