New Cumberland Garden Club hosts party

-- Contributed

The New Cumberland Garden Club recently hosted a children’s ornament party in the social room at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Children were asked to help decorate the town by painting wooden ornaments for the Christmas trees that will be placed in the planters downtown. They also participated by stringing popcorn garlands for the trees and covered pine cones with peanut butter and seeds for the birds to eat. In addition to ornaments for the city trees, each child made an ornament to take home. The garden club served Christmas cookies and punch afterward. Shown are some of the children who painted ornaments for the town’s Christmas trees.
