In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Carriage Inn/Carriage House of Steubenville is sponsoring a “pink pumpkins” scavenger hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 19 to raise money for the Teramana Cancer Center T.E.A.R. Fund. T.E.A.R, is an acronym for Trinity Emergency Assistance Relief. Ten pink pumpkins will be placed at local businesses throughout Steubenville and Wintersville. Participants will locate each pumpkin at various locations and take a picture with it. The first team/individual back with all 10 pictures will be the winner of a $100 VISA gift card, compliments of Carriage Inn/House of Steubenville. Other prizes will be awarded as well. Individuals or teams may enter with a $10-per-person donation. All proceeds benefit the T.E.A.R. fund. Lunch will be served as participants arrive back to Carriage House. Promoting the event are, from left, Catherine Poludniak, Trinity Foundation manager; Nancy Felton, Capital Health community director of marketing; Barb Steitz, Teramana Cancer Center nurse patient navigator; and Lisa Costlow, Teramana Cancer Center clinic nurse.
