“The African Children’s Choir melts the hearts of audiences with their charming smiles, beautiful voices and lively African songs and dances,” notes a news release about the group, which will be performing at two local locations on Sunday as part of its “Just As I Am” tour.

That includes at the 11 a.m. service at Promise of Victory Church of God, located at 47 Dennis Ridge Road, Colliers, where the phone number is (304) 527-3230.

At 6 p.m. that evening, the choir will perform at Sycamore Youth and Community Center at 301 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, in a concert hosted by the Ohio Valley Youth Network. For information, call (608) 556-3068.

The program features well-loved children’s songs, traditional spirituals and gospel favorites. Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering is taken at the performance to support African Children’s Choir programs, such as education, care and relief and development programs.
