Macy’s event at Fort helps Grand Theater

Photos on the top half of today’s community page were generated May 4 when Macy’s at The Mall at Robinson presented a Steubenville Mother’s Day Gala at the Visitor Center at Historic Fort Steuben in downtown Steubenville.

A portion of proceeds from the event benefited the Grand Theater Restoration Project, according to event coordinator Francesca Carinci, who serves on the board of the Grand Theater Restoration Project.

The event included shopping, refreshments, makeovers and drawings for gift baskets containing.

There also was a fashion show held on the deck of the Visitor Center with Wendy Vogel, former AM radio host, serving as mistress of ceremonies.

Models were Marianne Cooper and her daughter, Amy Hopkins; LuAnn Harms and her daughter, Lindsay Paolina; and Billy Petrella.

The event also included selections performed by Steubenville High School’s Marching Band.
