YWCA ‘Sip & Shop’ set
for tonight is postponed
STEUBENVILLE –The YWCA of Steubenville at 320 N. Fourth St. has to postpone the “Sip & Shop” it had planned to hold tonight.
The fundraiser featuring the Bling Bling Lady Mobile Boutique of North Lima, Ohio, as a key attraction will be scheduled at a later date, according to Sophie Spencer, YWCA executive director.
Eagle Scout fundraiser dinner
scheduled Sunday in Weirton
WEIRTON — John Schultz Jr., a member of Boy Scout Troop 334 and a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, is organizing a fundraiser dinner to support his Eagle Scout project.
It will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Nicholas Church Hall, located at 604-608 Colliers Way, directly across from Weirton Medical Center.
The eat-in or takeout meal includes a kielbasi sandwich (sauerkraut optional), haluski, salad, drink and cookie for $12.
Kroger retirees dinner

WEIRTON — All Kroger retirees are invited to the monthly dinner get-together that will be held May 22 at Theo Yianni’s, 332 American Way, Weirton, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Larry Crow Curb Cleanup Day

BERGHOLZ — The Larry Crow Curb Cleanup Day on Saturday in Bergholz will get under way at 2 p.m.
Family, volunteers and fellow Bergholz Ruritan members will be among those carrying on the tradition that Crow so faithfully demonstrated, cleaning up Second Street and painting the curbs
Anyone is welcomed to participate. “We ask that anyone who wishes to help, to find a curb along Second Street in Bergholz and bring a broom or a shovel. Volunteers will be around to pick up the debris and deliver paint and rollers,” son Todd Crow explained.
A light lunch will be provided at the old Church of Christ Fellowship Hall after the cleanup.
LEGO club at Weirton Library
having final meeting Tuesday
WEIRTON — The “Weir Building” LEGO Club at the Mary H. Weir Public Library will hold its final meeting of the winter/spring session on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Children of all ages are welcome. Those younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult. There are no fees, and no registration requirements.
All builders will receive a free “Weir Building” logo button.
