West Virginia University

Ashley Eby of Wellsburg was named a Presidential Student Ambassador at West Virginia University.

Eby, a WVU Foundation Scholar, was one of 10 freshmen or sophomore students selected to participate in the program. All 10 selected students were required to attend 20 leadership events and engage in at least 40 hours of community service this semester.

The students also will become part of the Presidential Student Ambassador speakers bureau, talking to peers, prospective students, parents and community members in recruitment, orientation and selected university events.
