CADIZ — Haus’ Heating and Cooling is a new business that is n full operation and serving customers in the Harrison and Jefferson in Ohio and the Northern Panhandle counties in West Virginia counties.

Travis Singhaus, owner and operator, runs a one-man business, but would eventually like to work with an apprentice.

A 2001 graduate of Harrison Central High School, Singhaus picked up knowledge about heating and air work from his father since he was young, and now his son 5-year-old son, Kenton, shares the interest and loves going with him on jobs.

Singhaus is a licensed contractor with six years of documented experience and became licensed to do bigger electrical work as a licensed master electrician. He has learned about heating and cooling by working 15 years in the industry in Ohio and West Virginia. He could be called a one-man industry.

“I want to offer professional service in the Ohio Valley area and provide customers fair rates. I am insured and bonded for the profession,” he said.

He said there is a void in this skilled type of trade work and any student who is mechanically inclined would do well to learn this type or work, adding he would like to work with an apprentice or a student from the vocational schools in Harrison and Jefferson counties.

Some of his work has been as a contractor for Wheeling Hospital. He worked on the Ohio State Student Union and at the Bowling Green Performing Arts Center as well.

“I have learned to be very particular with my work and like the fact that regulations are strict in big jobs,” he related.

Singhaus said if he has to go out to work in the evening or on weekends, when his girlfriend, Danielle, is not home, Kenton comes along with him.

“I give him a little job to do and he will keep at it until it is done. He doesn’t get in the way but he does like to talk shop,” Singhaus said.

The company has a website and can be reached by e-mail at air@gmail.com. The telephone number is (740) 491-1192. If not available, he will always give a call back, he promised. And, 24-hour service is available. Regular hours are Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturday and Sunday. Evening hours are by appointment.
