RECOGNIZED: The storeroom at the Cardinal Plant in Brilliant has achieved a decade without a recorded Occupational Safety and Health Administration injury.

Coty Lee, the plants safety and health supervisor, said the storeroom receives all shipments of parts and stores them until needed. There are eight workers at the storeroom.

The coal yard, also known as the material handling group, has achieved nine years without a reported OSHA injury, Lee said. There are about 50 people working in the coal yard, he said.

“We recognize any time frame (without injury), but we really want to recognize the big ones,” Lee said.
