WINTERSVILLE — After seeing a need for a women’s boutique in the Wintersville area, mother-daughter duo Marcie and Tori Cingolani decided to take action.

“We both have always had our own sense of style and have always been obsessed with clothes,” said Tori. “But we always had a hard time finding exactly what we wanted. Spending hours walking through malls and leaving empty handed just wasn’t cutting it.”

Fast forward to 2016, and the Cingolani women have created a chic boutique, Lynn & Barrett, targeting women of all ages.

“We sell women’s clothing and accessories of many different styles and for a variety of age groups, ranging from eclectic and bohemian, to elegant or comfy,” Tori explained.

“Everything you find in the store has been chosen by Tori or myself, so that gives us the variance in the age groups, since she is 23 and I am not,” Marcie added with a laugh.

The younger Cingolani had been working at a clothing boutique in Pittsburgh, and the duo decided there was “definitely a need in the Jefferson County area.”

“We saw a need in our area that was growing year by year,” Marcie said. “It seems like everyone heads to Pittsburgh for all of their clothing needs, to shop for a cute outfit that not everyone has, and honestly, that doesn’t really exist at malls.”

“With our own store, we are able to choose exactly what we want and bring those styles to our small town, which may not get to see things like this all the time,” Tori added.

The store, titled after the duo’s middle names, is located at 150 Main St. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays; and closed on Sundays.

The phone number is (740) 314-5837.

A grand opening will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 6.

“The store has been doing outstanding, with our only form of marketing being social media and word of mouth,” Tori noted. “With the response from those platforms being beyond our expectations.”

“My husband and I talked it over with Tori, and here we are, mother-daughter partners in business,” Marci. “It has been so much fun, decorating and picking out the clothes. It is definitely our labor of love.”

“It is a new adventure and we are having a fantastic time,” Tori added.
