A new day for Steubenville Integrative

STEUBENVILLE – The staff of Steubenville Chiropractic & Rehabilitation is taking a new approach to helping area residents deal with pain and improve their strength and mobility and have adopted a new name, Steubenville Integrative Medicine, to reflect that.

Located at 2199 Sunset Blvd., the clinic will be incorporating a medical program with the help of Dr. Atul Shetty, a long-time area physician who now serves as its medical director.

Dr. Michael Ross, who opened the practice in 2004, said a weight loss program and nutritional counseling also have been added as part of a holistic approach to treating patients.

There also are plans to add physical therapy and prolotherapy, also known as regenerative injection therapy.

“Our patients will receive services under one roof that they normally would have to go to other places for,” said Ross. “Recovery can be much faster when you put these things together.”

A Follansbee native, Ross earned a doctor of chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta in 2003.

He decided to enter the field after receiving chiropractic care for an injury he sustained while serving in the Army.

Steubenvile Integrative Medicine’s staff also includes therapists Jim Galownia and Cody Dunson; Dana Sefsick, certified nurse practitioner; Nicholas Vana, office manager; Madison Cunningham, receptionist; and billing clerks Jacque Phillips and Stella Ross, Michael’s wife.

Ross said he and his staff strive for a personal relationship with the patients.

“They’re not a number when they come here. I want them to be treated as I would treat my family,” he said.
