Surprise visitor: An Oakmont Avenue resident said she was asleep on her sofa when she awakened to find someone in her home, Thursday. She said the intruder was “in the upstairs bedroom for (about) four or five minutes and she was unsure what he was doing or if he’d taken anything from the residence.” Police went to the residence of the man the intruder was looking for and said after a few minutes a man came outside who initially denied having entered the house but eventually “advised officers that it was a possibility he had walked into the wrong residence.” Police said his car was parked in front of the woman’s house and “possibly was so intoxicated that he went into the woman’s residence … and once he realized he was in the wrong residence, “he denied (it) in an attempt to stay out of trouble.” Police said Harley R.
