Free ride: A city resident said she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Friday. She said she’s been having “ongoing issues” with the male, and they’d been arguing because he “doesn’t have a job and is currently being supported by her.” She told police she’d ordered food for him and when it arrived, told him “to at least thank her for (it)” but he got upset and started yelling at her so she “poured a small amount of her drink on (him), which infuriated him.” She claimed he pushed her away, causing her to fall on her bed so she called her father and told him her boyfriend had hit her, but when police questioned her she “assured them she had only been pushed and did not show any signs of obvious injury.” While she was on the phone with her father she said he started arguing with her boyfriend, who ultimately left the residence. She told police since he’d left, she no longer needed assistance.
