He wanted her to get in his vehicle, but she refused so he waited for her to leave the lot and pulled in behind her, then flew past.

A deputy positioned at the Pottery Addition fire station reported seeing a truck allegedly operated by Shelter turn onto county Road 44 “so sharp it ran through a grassy area at the corner of the lot, causing the rear (of the truck) to go airborne and start bouncing on the roadway,” then accelerate quickly, “causing the tires to squeal and leave black marks.” Deputies reported Shelter’s eyes were glassy and bloodshot and his speech was slurred, but said he denied drinking alcohol.
