Marc W. Litzinger, 44, 4034 Adams St., Weirton, warrant for truancy, Aug. 19, arrested without incident on existing warrant and capias at listed address.
Sara H. Yeater, no age listed, 422 Gaston Road, Weirton, battery on an officer, obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct, Aug. 22, arrested following an incident on Three Springs Drive.
Roman Malik Ford, 28, 120 Maher St., St. Clairsville, domestic assault, prohibited person, Aug. 25, police responded to 158 Gilson Ave. to investigate a report of a man threatening to kill individuals in the home. A gun was recovered. Additional charges to follow.
Jason Doulgas Rogers, 43, 3106 Orchard St., Weirton, warrant for destruction of property, Aug. 27, arrested without incident at home on warrant related to a damaged car.
William Sandord Fetty, 37, 187 Patriot Lane, Weirton, shoplifting, Aug. 27, arrested leaving Walgreen’s for reportedly not paying for ear buds.
Frank R. Bocek Jr. 49, 17 Ridgeland Drive, Toronto, shoplifting, Friday, arrested on a city warrant.
Zachary Richard Mumford, 39, 676 Flats Cemetery Road, New Cumberland, grand larceny warrant, Tuesday, while investigating an unrelated matter at 3737 Orchard St., individual was arrested on a pre-existing warrant.
Steubenville Police
Disorderly: A Lawson Avenue resident is facing charges after a dispute with a man renting a garage from him ended with him screaming at police, Monday. Police allege the owner, Michael Ledyard, 64, 801 Lawson Ave., “became highly upset and continued yelling and cursing” in the presence of bystanders, including children, in the alley behind Euclid Avenue. They claimed they told him several times he needed to move is vehicle so it wasn’t blocking the garage and driveway, and after he told them he couldn’t find his keys they told him it would be towed “began cursing and yelling … again,” and when told to stop claim he told them it was his First Amendment right. Ledyard was charged with obstruction, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and blocking traffic in an alley, but in Municipal Court Tuesday he was fined $150 plus costs after being found guilty of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and the remaining charges were dismissed.
Pained: A man was taken into custody after he allegedly opened a bottle of ibuprofen at Family Dollar, then took all but two of the pills before throwing it back on the shelf when employees confronted him, Tuesday. Police said Damion Irizarry, 48, no fixed address, was issued a summons for petit theft after they were able to track him to a grassy area where he’s been sleeping based on the description the manager gave them. They said when they located him, one of the first things Irizarry said was he “had a horrible headache.”
Grounded: A caller reported a man causing a disturbance with patrons inside the David Walker American Legion post, Tuesday. When they got their police said they found the man “on the ground and highly intoxicated.” Steubenville EMS took the man to the hospital for further medical assistance.
Persistent: A female cleaning an Oakmont Avenue apartment for a man who is in jail said a woman was “knocking on the door and refusing to leave,” Tuesday. The caller said the woman knocking at the door wanted her to let her in, even though the tenant has an order of protection against her. She said when she wouldn’t let the woman in, she eventually left the area.
Claimed: A woman who ordered a computer off of Amazon claims she never got the package, Friday. She said the company’s records show it being delivered Aug. 28 and had a picture of it on her porch, but she said it wasn’t there and there’s no footage of anyone coming on her property to steal it.
Complained: A caller reported kids playing in the roadway, refusing to move for oncoming traffic, Sunday. Police checked the area and “found it to be clear and quiet.”
Bothered: A man was panhandling in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue, Sunday. The property owner told police he was “continuously bothering (people) and panhandling” and wanted him to stay away.
Stolen: An Oak Grove resident said his son’s brand-new bicycle was stolen from the sidewalk in the 700 block of North Fourth Street, Sunday. The bike was red and black mountain bike with a custom seat.
Fraud: A Market Street resident told police someone changed his preferences so his September Social Security check would be deposited in the wrong bank account.
Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to the owner/occupants of a property at 221 Cunningham Lane, garbage bags, cardboard boxes and junk in front yard; and 110 Opal Blvd., garbage bags, junk and litter in yard and driveway.

Big expectations: A caller said his grandfather “came after him with a knife and is threatening to kill him,” Monday. The grandfather said they argued because the caller was “demanding” he “pay for him to have a car and an apartment,” telling deputies it’s an ongoing issue and the caller can’t seem to hold a job. His grandfather said he grabbed the knife for protection after his grandson threw him across the room and onto the ground. His grandson confirmed they argued over money and agreed it’s a common occurrence, but claimed he threw his grandfather after he grabbed the knife. The two separated for the night.
Out of it: A woman in Empire said a man showed up on her doorstep who “appeared to be under the influence of drugs, alcohol or both,” Sunday. She said she stepped outside to find out why he was there and he was “not making sense and a couple of times took off his shirt, put his face in (it) and began crying.” She told him she didn’t want him in her house so he left.
Altered reality: A caller said her daughter was “yelling and screaming and throwing things” and appeared to be in an altered mental state, Sunday. Deputies said the daughter was “pacing and looking for things that were not there” and her answers to questions were “incoherent and nonsensical.” The female was taking prescribed methadone and when they checked the bottle, discovered there weren’t as many pills left in the bottle as should have been.
Tipped: An ATV crash was reported on township Road 307, Hammondsville, Saturday. The driver said his tire went flat and he tried to stop on an embankment in such a way that the tire would be suspended in the air so it would be easier to change, but it tipped over and he hit his head.
Break in: A Springdale Avenue, Wintersville, resident said someone forced a door open and took a coin jar and a flip phone, Tuesday. He told deputies the figures there was about $100 in coins in the jar.
