Steubenville police

Complained: Callers reported a naked man who appeared to be intoxicated in a van parked in the 1500 block of Euclid, Tuesday. Observers said two other individuals entered the vehicle, which was gone when police arrived at the scene.

Theft: A woman told police a family member threw a portable commode at her and took her pain medication, Monday.

Argued: A woman told police her boyfriend chased her down Fifth Street with a knife, Tuesday. Police located the boyfriend, who said he followed her because she left with his phone after an argument. The boyfriend denied having a knife and said he only followed her a short way before turning back because he was unfamiliar with the neighborhood.

Found: A handgun was discovered in a vacant property in the 1600 block of Ridge Avenue, Monday. Two men hired to clean the residence said they found the gun wrapped in a rag, the back door propped open and the front door jammed.

Broken: A resident in the 700 block of Brady Avenue reported a broken window, Monday.

Weeds: Properties at 141 Parkdale Road, 232 Harvard Ave., 236 Howard Avenue, 2242 Powell Ave., 156 Pembroke Road, 318 S. Fourth, and 100 Harding Ave., were found to have weeds and grass in violation of city ordinances, Monday, Owners were notified of the violations.
