Breaking and entering: A deputy responded to a breaking-and-entering call in Island Creek township, Wednesday. The resident said the home had been entered through a rear window while the resident was not home. According to the report, the resident said a small amount of cash and a firearm were missing. The deputy was able to view a camera recording of the break-in and identify a possible suspect. Upon attempting to make contact with that individual, the individual fled and was found hiding and taken into custody. After the suspect was mirandized, the deputy was able to get a location of the stolen firearm, according to the report. Casey Gill, 39, 105 Americana Circle, Wintersville, was arrested for aggravated burglary, theft and receiving stolen property.
Broken: A deputy responded to a call of a broken window at a home in Island Creek township, Wednesday. According to the report, the caller said that three loud bangs and breaking glass had been heard. An individual in the room at the time said they saw a person’s shadow outside but could not give a description, according to the report.

Arrested: Cody C. Vandyke, 23, 308 Grant St., warrant for gross sexual imposition, Tuesday.
