Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Shaiquan C. West, 22, 1223 Oregon Ave., Steubenville, bench warrant out of Toronto county court, Wednesday.

Arrested: Paul Shell Jr., 40, 2920 Linda Way, Steubenville, domestic violence, Tuesday.

Arrested: Aundarcio Jackson, 28, 6751 Cherry Bend, Canal Winchester, failure to appear, Tuesday.

Arrested: Dino Shriano Jr., 41, 100 Powells Lane, Wintersville, domestic violence, Tuesday.

Steubenville police

Assault: Police responded to a call of an assault, Tuesday. According to the report, a man argued with a family member while working on a fixture in the residence, then the significant other of the family member got involved. The man told police he was then struck by the individual, promoting another family member to strike him. The individual then fled, according to the report. The man was noted by the officer to have a mark on his face. The report was forwarded to the prosecutor.

Hit-skip: A woman reported that another vehicle backed into her parked car on the 4400 block of Sunset Boulevard and drove away, Tuesday.

Crash: Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on Ohio Street, Tuesday. Police said the vehicle involved was rolled on its side. According to the report, the driver told police that she lost control making a turn and struck the guide wire for a power pole, causing the vehicle to roll over. Police said there was no damage to the pole and the driver refused medical attention. Maleina Walker, 18, 460 S. Sixth St., was cited for no operator’s license and failure to control.

Attempted break in: A resident reported that someone tried to force entry into his residence, Tuesday. The resident told police someone pried open a locked front door, which he then pushed shut. Police said the resident then heard a male voice state that he “brought some girls” and was “ready to party.” Police were unable to locate anyone, according to the report.

Hit-skip: Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Sunset and Stanton boulevards, Wednesday. According to the report, police determined the driver of one of the vehicles failed to yield or stop, causing the collision. That driver, according to the report, then fled on foot and the vehicle coasted into a wall. Police said the driver who fled was found to be at fault and will be cited for the crash when located.

Arrested: Dylan J. White, 20, Apartment F1, 601 Blue Ridge Manor, Wellsburg, possession of marijuana, Monday.

Arrested: Daicyn T. Adams, 22, Apartment D1, 407 Blue Ridge Manor, Wellsburg, assault, Monday.

Arrested: Jeremy L. Gagich, 38, 141 Briar Lane, Wellsburg, fugitive from justice, Sunday.

Arrested: Brett J. Tharp, 27, 257 Mahan Ave., Follansbee, public intoxication and disorderly conduct, Saturday.

Arrested: Joshua P. Blackburn, 23, 2180 state Route 264, Toronto, driving while license for driving under the influence, Feb. 26.

Arrested: Joseph H. Smith, 37, 248 Clearview Drive, Wellsburg, driving while license revoked- administrative and no registration of proof of insurance, Feb. 25.
