Arrested: Amini Nelson, 19, 805 Mount Pleasant Road, Pittsburgh, felony theft, Tuesday.

Arrested: Charmaine Lester, 39, 328 S. Fifth St., Steubenville, failure to appear, Tuesday.

Arrested: Samantha Strachan, 30, 2937 Linda Way, Steubenville, possession of drug paraphernalia, Tuesday.

Arrested: Donald Henderson, 50, 112 Blondus Ave., Steubenville, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container, Tuesday.

Trashy: A landlord with a property in the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue believes tenants who were recently evicted returned to the apartment and defecated in an upstairs bathroom and threw a potted plant on the porch, Tuesday. The apartment does not have running water.

Fake: Someone attempted to pass a counterfeit $50 bill at a gas station on Sunset Boulevard, Tuesday.

Concerned: Callers reported a white male dressed in black and carrying a gun in the 200 block of North Eighth Street, Tuesday. Police were unable to locate the described individual or two white males accompanying him, they said.

Theft: Two women reportedly filled baskets with items they didn’t pay for and loaded them in a silver Ford Ranger while a third woman distracted a clerk with questions about a job application at a discount store on North Seventh Street, Tuesday.

Cited: Tyka Petrella, 29, 324 S. Fourth St., Steubenville, expired plates; Celeste Brown, 50, 231 S. Eighth St., Steubenville, driving under suspension; Norman Delaney, 86, 1024 McNeal Ave., left of center; John Metcalf, no age or address listed, through trucks prohibited violation. Witnesses said Metcalf’s white tractor trailer severed a stop sign while he was trying to turn left from Franklin onto North Sixth Street.

Bloodied: A woman who was found in a car in the 1700 block of Oregon Avenue covered with blood and a male companion with a bloodied lip told police they were assaulted by another female they’d asked to buy them crack, Tuesday. The female victim believes her assailant pistol-whipped her, and police reported locating a bloodied hammer as well as a weapon near the other woman, who they said also had the female victim’s wallet and phone in her possession. The other woman claims the victim put a gun to her head and demanded money. Due to their conflicting stories, police forwarded the report to the police prosecutor for consideration.

Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Van Allen Flesher, 66, 314 S. High St., Steubenville, menacing (pending), Tuesday. Flesher also was cited for driving under suspension.

Arrested: Roy Ray Winland, 34, 1804 Township Road 156, Rayland, and Joseph Francis Gaito, 39, 402 S. York St., Wheeling, receiving stolen property, Tuesday. The men had a Winnebago and a Dutchmen camper allegedly stolen from Friendship Park in their possession.

Trashed: Deputies traced 17 bags of trash and a box of VHS tapes dumped within 1.5 miles of each other on Jefferson County Road 45, Steubenville, to now-deceased residents, whose daughter told them she’d paid a man $50 to dispose of them, Monday.
