Steubenville police

Cited: Scott M. Linger, 27, 509 Loretta Ave., Apt. B, Toronto, failure to control. Police said Linger told them his vehicle hydroplaned Sunday on John Scott Highway near the U.S. 22 ramp before rolling over, coming to rest on its roof.

Arrested: Na’Shell Jones, 28, 723 Market St., Apt. B, Steubenville, criminal trespass and obstructing official business, Sunday. Police allege Jones climbed out a rear window of a property from which she’d been banned and fled on foot. Jones was apprehended in an alley between Washington and Market streets, they said.

Concerned: Callers reported hearing shots fired Sunday in the 1300 block of Oak Grove Avenue. Police said an individual in the area told them he thought it was fireworks. No indication of gun play was detected, police said in their report.

Harassment: An employee at a discount store on Mall Drive reported a middle-aged man and his son have been subjecting her to lewd comments and otherwise harassing behavior, Sunday.

Theft: A woman living in the 1400 block of Oregon Avenue told police her boyfriend stole her TV, bed frame, dresser, night stands and tablet computer, Sunday.

Injured: A bicyclist in the 500 block of Franklin Avenue was knocked to the ground after hitting a hole in the roadway, landing in a grassy area. Police said the individual’s arm appeared to be broken.
