Steubenville

Vandalized: A resident in the 1300 block of Oregon Avenue reported two tires were slashed on her vehicle, Monday.

Shattered: Someone tossed rocks through the window of a resida]ence and a business in the 300 block of N. Fifth St., Monday.

Scam: A Braybarton Boulevard resident told police someone claiming to work for Samaritan House persuaded her to hire him to power wash her home, then absconded with her $75 check without returning to perform the work.

Damaged: The owner of a property in the 1200 block of Oak Grove told police the tenant had punched holes in walls throughout the property, tore out the bath tub “and left the house in deplorable condition,” Tuesday.

Stolen: An individual in the 900 block of Pittsburgh Street told police a flat screen television, washing machine and mower were taken from residence sometime in the past two months, Tuesday.

Lesko Sr., 52, 128 Linwood Manor, Weirton, expired/unlawful registration and driving under suspension; Brooke R. Heilman, 26, 210 Maplewood Dr., Steubenville, driving under suspension and fictitious plates; Lawrence K. Miller, 21, 828 Rosswell Ave., driving under suspension and expired plate; Scott A. Gordon, 54, 108 Taylor Lane, St. Clairsville, driving under suspension, expired plates and fictitious plates; Earl D. Jackson, 60, 2901 Nuway Road, Columbus, open container; James Chico Swearingen, 28, 1220 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville, driving under suspension.

Cited: James E. Lawrence, 53, Apartment 2, 1216 Plum St., driving with suspended license.

Arrested: Isaac R. Fletcher, 21, 808 Oakmont Ave., disorderly conduct and public indecency, Wednesday.

Arrested: Thomas R. Fazio, 52, 1105 Park St., failure to appear warrant out of municipal court and probation violation out of Toronto county court, Wednesday.

Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Franklin Grumwald, 50, 3560 County Road 75, Bergholz, felony warrant out of Stark County, Tuesday.

Arrested: Jeffrey Alan Koran, 50, 5082 state Route 152, Dillonvale, warrant for failure to appear, Tuesday.

Accosted: A resident of Cherie Avenue, Richmond, told deputies a male she did not know approached her at her kids’ bus stop and demanded $100, then threatened her when she told him she was calling police, Tuesday.

Arrested: Joshua T. Blue, 33, 106 Euclid St., Amsterdam, theft, Wednesday.

Arrested: Carla Coppa, 27 Debbie Lane 39, Toronto, failure to comply, Tuesday.
