Toronto golf team tops Steubenville

TORONTO — The Toronto golf team defeated Steubenville on Wednesday at Dyer Country Club.

The Red Knights finished with a team score of 179, besting Big Red’s 211.

Cole Degarmo and Hunter Keenan finished as co-medalists, both shooting scores of 42.

Also for Toronto, Andre Roach and Brennan Suffoletta turned in scores of 46 and 49.

Steubenville was led by Micah Krause’s 48. Isaac Krause was right behind with a 49. Carlo Biasi shot a 56 and Carson Davis a 58.

Panthers best Weir

NEW CUMBERLAND — Buckeye Local’s golf team picked up another win on Wednesday, defeating Weir High at Woodview Golf Course.

The Panthers finished with a team score of 179, while the Red Riders turned in a 205.

Leading the way for Buckeye Local was Blake Ring-Fish, who shot a 41 to be the medalist.

Emily Holzapfel turned in a 43, Sean Kubic a 45 and Owen Long a 50.

For Weir, Dominic Simich led the way with a 45. Jasmine Tustin shot a 48, Jesse Tustin a 49 and Elijah Zimmerman a 63.

Creek bests Oak Glen, Edison

BLOOMINGDALE — The Indian Creek golf team picked up a win Wednesday at Red Oaks Golf Course, topping Oak Glen and Edison in tri-match.

The Redskins team score of 191 was three under the Golden Bears’ 194. Edison turned in a 229.

Leading the way for Indian Creek was Josh Speaker, who was the medalist with a 40.

Jake Everhart shot a 48, Noah Corella a 51 and Justice Morris a 52.

Oak Glen got a 42 from Josh Cline. Jacob Gittings shot a 43, Aiden Hall a 53 and Caleb Cline a 56.

Edison was led by George Ash’s score of 42. Andrew Pugh shot a 50, Kennadie McElroy a 64 and Sadie Allen a 73.
