WEEK TWO: BIG RED 28, MORGANTOWN 6

MORGANTOWN — Big Red scored 22 second-half points to pull away from Morgantown and post a commanding 28-6 road victory on Sept. 1.

Steubenville grabbed an early 6-0 lead on a 21-yard Javon Davis to Gino Pierro pass. Three first half turnovers, however, kept Big Red off the scoreboard until the third quarter.

A 1-yard run by Jonathon Blackmon and a 6-yard sprint by Taveon Montgomery put Big Red ahead to stay at 21-0.

Big Red used eight different ball carriers and ended the night with 349 yards and three scores. Jamal Petteway led the way with 110 yards on 19 attempts. Davis passed for 74 yards and one touchdown.
