Redskins volleyball sweeps Buckeye Local

WINTERSVILLE – The Indian Creek volleyball team earned a three-set sweep over Buckeye Local on Monday. The Redskins won, 25-13; 25-7 and 25-19.

Creek improved to 1-1. Renee Antonelli had three kills and four digs; Sydney Karas had two kills; Brooke Spence had one ace and six digs; Martina Marko had one ace, five kills and three digs; Bethany Davis had two aces, 10 kills, one block and three digs; Kaylee LaRue had five aces and 10 digs; Bre Berryman had one ace, 10 kills and two blocks; Dakota Devore had one ace and three digs and Savannah Shanley added 26 assists, one ace and two digs.

Creek golf tops Edison

BLOOMINGDALE – Aaron Foldi shot a low of 39 to lead the Indian Creek golf team past Edison on Monday at Red Oaks.

The Redskins shot a team score of 184, while the Wildcats had a 191.

Also for Creek, Tanner Thermes had a 40 and Justin Dailey had a 50, while Chris Riffee and Cody Hopkins each shot 51.

Jayce Robinson led Edison with a 46, Tristan Haught had a 47, Austin Horan had a 48 and Josh DeFrank tallied 50.

Lojszczyk’s 35 leads Brooke over Steubenville

WELLSBURG – Logan Lojszczyk shot a 35 to earn match medalist and lead Brooke over Steubenville on Monday at Highland Springs Golf Course.

The Bruins shot a team score of 162 and Michael Spitak had a 40, Mario Boni had a 41 and Evan Cuomo had a 46,

Steubenville shot a team score of 212 and Kasey Peterson led with a 48. Isaiah Herring had a 52, while Kennan Seditz and Isaiah Lee each had 56.

Oak Glen Boys rout JCC

NEW MANCHESTER – Nate Fryer collected a hat trick to lead the Oak Glen boys soccer team over Jefferson County Christian on Monday.

Addison Sayre added two goals for the Golden Bears (1-1), while Cody Waggoner and James Crain each had one goal.

Sayre and Nate Bennett were credited with assists. Bennett also made nine saves in goal.

Christopher Brown scored the lone goal for Jefferson County Christian. Christian Brown made 10 saves.
