Headed to Muskingum

Indian Creek graduate Abby Orr, flanked by her father, Doug; brother, Aiden and mother, Kim, will continue her academic and softball careers at Muskingum University. Orr leaves Indian Creek as the 2014 class valedictorian. She also helped lead the Redskins to a 17-3 record and an appearance in the Division II regional softball tournament. Also on hand for the signing were, from left, guidance counselor Jim Maul, Indian Creek principal Steve Cowser, Redskins softball coach Angie Penner, assistant coach John Kuczykowski and assistant principal Dan Hartman.

Headed to Muskingum

Edison High School graduate Meghan Scott, flanked by her parents Robert and Amy Scott, will continue her academic and athletic careers at Muskingum University, where she will be a member of the soccer team. Scott was one of eight seniors who led the Wildcats to a 9-6-1 record last fall and three winning seasons in four years. Scott was a black honor cord graduate and earned the President’s Education Award Outstanding Academic Achievement. She was a Class 5A all-OVAC honorable mention selection. Scott will join a soccer program that was 8-9-2 a year ago. Also on hand for the signing were, from left, former assistant coach Chris Dopp and Edison Principal Matt Morrison.
