To be effective they have to be monitored and fines handed out the next day.

They will soon be outlawed. Mark my word.

Traffic cameras are effective. I don't understand why they were outlawed to begin with. It's not any more an invasion of privacy then drug testing welfare recipients is. Traffic cameras can help in multiple ways like catching people who break traffic laws and catching wrecks.

My husband had to go out of town to Maryland for work. We received a fine in the mail because he ran a red light. If other states can do it I don't understand why we can't. The cameras would garner a decent amount of money for the city and no one would need to worry about it if they weren't planning on breaking traffic laws.
