The industry can afford to bug and sell the world. That kind of money needs its industry closely watched.
If there isn't a concern, why would they oppose transparency. The DNR is their only regulator. That doesn't make much sense.
Mingo does not need a strip club in the middle of town. If strip clubs are good industry, put one in the Mall.

No they don't need even more regulation. As of right now this industry is all the people here have in hopes of a decent job to take care of their families. Do you remember a few years back when a business owner wanted to open a strip club and restaurant in Mingo but was met with nothing but opposition from most of the city officials? I do and look at it now. Mingo is a very small town there aren't people lining up to open businesses so they should have happily made that business owner feel welcome. This is basically the same thing, we need jobs so why put more obstacles in their way? From their standpoint why come here and have to jump through hoops when they could go elsewhere and be welcomed with gratitude? City officials have a job so they don't understand what it's like to travel and spend over 40 hours a week trying to find a job that pays enough to take care of a family. Before they came here, to get a good job we'd have to travel a good bit.
