stardog, That's the STATE OF OHIO SALES TAX with a Republican Governor and a Republican House and Senate! You guys will blame Obama if we have snow this winter.Turn off Faux News and get some facts for a change. Faux is fair and balanced, they have 5 loud mouthed Republicans in a discussion and one Democrat then every time he tries to make a point they all shout him down. Faux and Friends has two Republican guys and a Republican women that spreads her legs to distract you if someone disagrees with them.

The federal stuff is all well and good. But the STATE sales tax increase AND the 12.5% property tax increase... these are Republican tax increases from Republican legislators (Senate and House) and signed into law by Republican Governor John Kasich. These (plural) new taxes are 100% the doing of Republicans in Ohio.

Remember what a train wreck California was when Republican Ahhnold left Office. California had a $24 billion deficit. They elected Democrat Jerry Brown, he increased taxes on the rich, what the Republicans call the (job creators). Well guess what California is now running a surplus and jobs are coming back.

There you go, elections have consequences. Ohio is controlled by Republicans so what do they do, cut tax on the top 1%. The 1% will get a $6000 income tax cut while the bottom 20% gets $12. To pay for it they increase the sales tax, that will easily take that back that $12. The same old failed trickle down theory give the rich more money and wait to get trickled on.
