The odds of having a gunman come to a classroom is like the odds of being struck by lightning or hitting the lotto.

Parents, teachers , administrators, and police need to coordinate a plan for a situation and move on with life.

ALICE is a plan, but not he only plan; only a suggested idea. Works better at high school and junior high, but definitely not in lower elementary.

Alert...good, Lockdown...good, information...good Escape....good; Combat not so good with little kids.

There is no way to out guess a looney and and spend millions of dollars on defense that probably won't ever happen.

Want to spend money give the teachers a raise, or buy new books, spend time teaching respect and responsibility and being prepared for the consequences for one's actions.

I think that a gun in a school is not a good idea. Personal opinion.
