C.H.A.N.G.E. health fair a success

August 17, 2014
Herald-Star
More than 50 health and wellness vendors and several hundred attendees helped to make the fourth-annual Passport to Health Wellness Fair a success. The event, which was held Aug. 6 at the Serbian-American Cultural Center in Weirton, served as a platform for the distribution of health information and as a way to provide free or low-cost testing for the local community. Family Medical Care staff administered EKGs, 3D fetal sonograms and complete blood testing, DaVita Dialysis performed kidney screenings and various other health professionals provided their medical services and expertise to encourage community residents to stay healthy. “Partnerships are what it is all about, and the fact we had more than 50 vendors throughout the Ohio Valley under one roof, many who our providers refer to on a daily basis, always makes for a successful event,” said Judy Raveaux, C.H.A.N.G.E. CEO. For information about the event or services that C.H.A.N.G.E. Inc. provides, contact Raveaux at (304) 797-7733 or visit the organization’s website at www.changeinc.org. — Contributed
