Toronto High School graduate Lindsay Bodnar will continue her academic and athletic careers at Warren Wilson College in Asheville, N.C., where she will major in either biological or envorinmental science and minor in art. She will also be a member of the women's basketball program. Bodnar is flanked by her mother Marcy (right) and Owls head coach Robin Martin. The 5-foot-10 Bodnar is expected to add athleticism, shooting and size to Warren Wilson. "Lindsay has made it very clear that she loves the game of basketball and is grateful for this opportunity to be a part of the Warren Wilson women's basketball team," Martin said. "It is that excitement and commitment that I am looking for her to bring to our team this year." Bodnar was an All-Eastern District second-team selection as a senior, averaging 12.8 points a game. She was a member of the District 5 Coaches Association Division IV first-team. Bodnar was a was a third-team Division IV selection as a junior, when she averaged 11.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Bodnar was a second-team All-OVAC selection as a senior, after being an honorable mention pick the previous three years. Bodnar is Martin's first signee as the new coach. She took over the Owls program from Rob Shook, who retired after seven seasons. "Lindsay has been very persistent throughout the recruiting process. She has followed through on her end with everything she needed to ensure that we could put an offer together for her," Martin said.
