Several local churches behind the Wellsburg Community Vacation Bible School invite area children to a Workshop of Wonders: Imagine and Build with God, a mix of science, crafts and games, July 21-25.
Organizers said children will explore and experience how the ordinary becomes extraordinary with God and participate in interactive Bible fun, music and other activities.
It will run from 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each day at Christ Episcopal Church, 1014 Main St., for children ages 4-5; and from 9 a.m. to noon each day at First Presbyterian Church, 901 Charles St., for children in first through sixth grades.

A monetary offering will be collected each day, and children also will be invited to contribute canned goods for food pantries serving those in need.
Brentwood United Methodist, Wintersville
Brentwood United Methodist Church, Wintersville will host Vacation Bible School from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 15-18.
It is open to children ages 3 and older.
The theme is "International Spy Academy where participants will learn "to know, love and live for the one true God as they enjoy songs, crafts, games, goodies and dramas," according to promotional material. For information, call (740) 264-4531.
Rosemont Chapel, Steubenville
Rosemont Chapel Son Treasure Island Vacation Bible School will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 21-25 at the church, which is located at 23 Williams Blvd., Steubenville.
The VBS is open to children ages 4 and older.

Amsterdam Community Church of God
The Amsterdam Community Church of God, located at 8247 Bear Rd. S.E., Amsterdam, will hold its annual Vacation Bible School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 28-Aug. 1.
On Aug. 3 at 10:30am there will be a children's program with a luncheon held after the morning service.
The VBS program, entitled "Agency D3: Discover, Decide, Defend" is for children ages preschool through sixth grade.
Participants will learn about Jesus Christ through Bible lessons, memory verses, songs, crafts, games and refreshments.
In addition to the VBS program/luncheon, the church's annual Fellowship & Back-to-School Supply Giveaway also will be held on Aug. 3 following the morning service.
Pre-registration for school supplies is required and can be done during the week of Bible school.
