On June 23, the Blackmoor Ladies played a two-gal best ball.
Cheryl Black and Yuko Williams were the winners of the event. Black had a chip-in on hole No. 1. Linda Caputo also had a chip-in on hole No. 9.
FIRECRACKER WINNERS — Dyer Ladies League hosted its sixth-annual two-woman/one-best ball golf tournament, The Firecracker, on July 1. On June 30, the Blackmoor Monday Night Ladies League played a low gross event. Linda Caputo was winner of the event.
Cheryl Black had closest to the pin on hole No. 16. Yuko Williams had low putts, and Lucy Karran had long drive on hole No. 14.

The Woodview Women's Golf League played a low gross/low net, front-back and total game June 24.
Winners for low gross on the front 9 was Elaine Minda; back 9 winner was Cathy Ralston, who also won the total.
Winning the low net on the front 9 was Ralston with Janet Stukins winning the back 9 and total. Closest to the pin on No. 5 was Marilyn Kenny, who also won longest putt made on No. 13. No one could keep their balls on No. 17 green, so there will be a big money carryover!
The June 26 game was a low gross and low net on the par 4's. Low gross first place was taken by Mary Ann Bainbridge with Marilyn Kenny placing second. Low net first place was Cathy Ralston with a second- place tie between Yangja Koh and Elaine Minda. Closest to the pin on No. 5 was Koh, who came very close to a hole in one when her balled rolled over the hole and stopped 6 inches away. Closest to the pin and big money carryover on No. 17 was won by Minda with Ralston winning longest putt on No. 13.
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League held its guest night on June 26 with 12 guests attending to enjoy a night of competition, fun and food.
Guests attending the event were Lucy Karaan, Priscella Maurich, Mary Ann Bainbridge, Alicia Myers, Kathy Antinone, Penny Scarpone, Loretta Benbetto, Patty Reda, Rene Morelli, Edie Higgins, Sandy Finn and Debbie Phillipi.
The play for the night was a team scramble, with the winners with a score of 32 being the team of Patty Gerlando, Priscella Maurich, Mary Ann Bainbridge, and Judy Sorrenti.
The second-place team with a 33 was the team of Cindy Montgomery, Debbie Phillipi and Vickie Grant.
Following play, everyone was treated to a pizza party. Winner of the night's 50/50 was Patty Reda, who returned the money to the club to use toward the upcoming invitational, which will be held Aug. 7 at Spring Hills.
STEUBENVILLE COUNTRY CLUB
The Steubenville Country Club Women's Golf Association played a flag tournament in honor of the Fourth of July holiday with YangJa Koh and Charlene Freshwater as hostesses.
Golfers dressed in patriotic colors and carried American flags in their carts. The flags were planted on the golf course where the golfer's score totaled par plus her handicap strokes.
In the first flight Marilyn Kenny took first-place when she had to extend her game past 18 holes to plant her flag. Kim Criss won second place when she placed her flag on the 18th hole. Koh and Kenny tied for low putts.
Freshwater planted her flag on the 18th hole to win first place in the second flight. Dianna Adams and Theresa Metcalf were second when they both placed their flags in the cup on No. 17. Adams also won low putts.
Metcalf claimed the Money Cup for her chip-in par on the seventh hole from the drop area after hitting her tee shot in the lake.
Her playing partners were amused at her amazing feat.
Adams reminded the golfers to sign up for the East Central Ohio tournament which is being hosted by the Steubenville women on Aug. 1. Kenny is co-chairing the event.
This week's game will be odd holes with one half handicap. Golfers are asked to report to the pro shop at 8:30 a.m. for a 9 a.m. start.
Nine hole golfers will report at 9 a.m. for a 9:30 a.m. start.
