Finley United Methodist Church, 958 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville, invites all children ages 4 through 13 to vacation Bible school, which will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
"Children will participate in small groups, called Crews, and discover that Jesus' love is one-of-a-kind," a church spokesman said. "God filled the world with a lot of crazy creatures...including you! When kids feel weird, different, or lost in a crowd-nothing compares to the extraordinary love of Jesus. At Weird Animals vacation Bible school, kids experience God's Word in surprising and unforgettable ways. Each day, leaders reinforce one simple Bible truth-which makes it easy for kids to remember and apply to real life," the spokesman said of its VBS that also will include team-building games, Bible songs and treats.

Riverview Baptist Church, Wellsburg
Riverview Baptist Chapel will hold vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. July 14-18 at the church located at 225 Charles St., Wellsburg.
It is open to children aged through through sixth grade.
The theme is "D3: Discover, Decide, Defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ." The event includes archery, bounce house, water balloons, crafts, snacks and music.

The Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church will hold vacation Bible school from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. July 14-18 at the church located at 139 Gilson Ave., Weirton.
The vacation Bible school is open to children aged 4 to those in seventh grade.
The theme is "Wilderness Escape: Where God Guides and Provides." Children will explore the adventures of Moses and the Israelites. The event includes songs, games, snacks and activities. Children will visit "Moses" and collect Bible Memory Buddies. Each day ends with worship.

Salvation Army of Steubenville
The Salvation Army of Steubenville will host a vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on July 21-25. It is open to children in grades kindergarten through fourth grade.
It will be based on VeggieTales, "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything."
Those interested in having their children attend need to stop by the Salvation Army at 332 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, to register them. The registration cutoff date is July 15.
