WEIRTON - Moving On, a widows and widowers group, met June 8 at Undo's with President Norma Boni presiding.
Boni opened the meeting with a prayer for members and relatives who have passed away.
Christine Brown gave a reading on fatherhood. Guest Ruth Ann Johnson was welcomed. Members acknowledged birthdays.
Dorothy Alrutz, Edna Bain, Jean Baird, Marcia Bishop, Beck Michalka and Nancy Solinger decorated the tables with lighthouses and shells.
Follansbee native Joel Smith, singer, provided the entertainment by singing.
Lucretia "Toots" Ross and David Kramarich conducted the 50/50 drawing, which was won by Herb Simms. Katy Rosohac and Fred Vogt won Undo's gift certificates. Ann Zmuda won a Gio's gift certificate, and Richard Kimmel won a decorative candle. Connie Zampano, Nancy Smurda, Fran Parsons, Vogt, Ingrid Koenig and Rosohac won table prizes.
Reports were given by Ross and Treasurer Margaret Chapman.
Vogt provided the closing prayer.
The next meeting will be held July 13. Hank Vincent and the Stone Street Station will perform.
