New Somerset Church yard sale set
New Somerset Church's annual yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the church, which is located at 12052 state Route 213, New Somerset.
A variey of items will be for sale, including many 25 cent items, and lunch will be available
Fundraiser dinner at E.S. center
The East Springfield Community Center located on county Road 39 next to the East Springfield Volunteer Fire Department will host a fundraiser roast chicken dinner from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The menu will include roast chicken breasts, thighs and legs, mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles, green beans, applesauce, rolls, dessert and drink. Cost is $8 with children under age 6 eating for free.

Antonio Meucci Lodge plans trips
The Antonio Meucci Lodge met May 12 at Undo's with Vice President Anthony LaRosa presiding and Anthony LaRosa leading members in opening exercises.
Members had a buffet dinner.
Reports were given by Rita Orler and Carol Valenti, treasurer's report and financial report.
The state lodge spring board meeting was attended by Regina Truax, Valenti, Linda Pfabe and Orler.
The group is planning a bus trip to the Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh for Little Italy Days in August.
May birthdays were acknowledged. Thank-you notes from scholarship recipients Ryan Weaver, Nick and Steffanie Iannetti's grandson, and Kory Kozloski, Victor and Mary Lou Rossi's grandson, were read.
Upcoming tours were announced, including:
-- July 4, Gateway Clipper's Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise, Pittsburgh;
-- July 13, "Dames at Sea" at West Virginia Theater, Morgantown; and
-- July 25, Hartville Flea Market.

Orler won the 50/50, and Larry Purks won the Undo's gift certificate. Dora Ferelli, Patsy Brancazio and Amando D'Amico won door prizes.

Senior center holding dance Thursday
The Greater Weirton Senior Center will hold a dance Thursday.
The doors open at 5 p.m., and Hank Vincent and the Stone Street Station will perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost is $5.
Story hours set at Follansbee branch
The Follansbee Branch Library will hold story hours for children, ages 2-5, and their caregivers at noon Monday and June 16, 23 and 30. Call (304) 527-0860 to register for the free programs.

The Weirton Steel Basic Oxygen Plant employee's breakfast is held at 9 a.m. the second Tuesday of each month at the Three Springs Drive Eat'n Park. All are welcome.
Fundraiser dinner at Jewett VFD
The Jewett Volunteer Fire Department will host a hamloaf and baked steak dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The menu will include vegetables, salad, bread, dessert and beverage for $8.
City schools retirees meet for lunch
Retirees of Steubenville City Schools met May 8 for a luncheon at Margaret's Cafe in Toronto.
Cards were distributed and signed.
Retirees were invited to the Steubenville staff's end-of-the-school-year luncheon.
The group's next outing will be lunch at the Greek Food Festival on June 12 at 12:30 p.m.
A collection will be taken for Urban Mission Ministries in June and the American Cancer Society in July.
