Headed to Geneva

Edison graduate Matt Coppa, flanked by his grandparents Lawrence and Patricia Coppa, will continue his academic and athletic career at Geneva College, where he will be a member of the football program. Coppa was a three-year letterman for the Wildcats, playing along the defensive line. Coppa was a silver cord honor graduate and earned the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement, a three-year academic letter award winner and also earned a Charles and Thelma Pugliese Scholarship. Geneva plays in the Presidents' Athletic Conference and has qualified for the postseason in 14 of the last 19 years under head coach Geno DeMarco. Also on hand for the signing were, from left, football coach Derrick Stickles, father Timothy Coppa and Edison Principal Matt Morrison.
