Brooke graduate Michaela Hinerman, flanked by her parents Michelle and Carl Hinerman, will continue her academic and athletic careers at Bethany College, where she will major in either special education or athletic training and be a member of the soccer team. Hinerman was a three-sport athlete for the Bruins, participating in soccer, basketball and softball. She was an all-OVAC performer in all three sports and led the Lady Bruins soccer team to a 16-4-2 record and the OVAC Cup. "Michaela is a terrific player and one of the best forwards in the state of West Virginia," Brooke coach Lee Weppler said. Hinerman collected 25 goals, 14 assists and was named a first-teamer by the OVAC, the Three Rivers Athletic Conference and the West Virginia High School Soccer Coaches Association. Also on hand for the signing were, from left, Brooke Assistant Principal Tim Pannett, soccer coach Lee Weppler and Hinerman's brother, Jacob Hinerman.
