Country Friends to host Sands of Time
The Country Friends will host the Sands of Time band Saturday at Memorial Hall located at 67 Old Police Lodge Road, Colliers.
The doors open at 6 p.m., and the dance begins at 7 p.m.
Country Friends has covered-dish dinners and open mic nights every Monday and Friday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the meal begins at 5 p.m., and open mic begins at 6 p.m.

Life Line screening scheduled May 17
Residents living in and around Steubenville can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or bone fracture as Steubenville Parks and Recreation Department hosts a Life Line screening on May 17 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, 905 Market St., Steubenville.
Screenings identify potential cardiovascular conditions such as blocked arteries and irregular heart rhythm, abdominal aortic aneurysms and hardening of the arteries in the legs, which is a strong predictor of heart disease.
A bone density screening to assess osteoporosis risk also is offered and is appropriate for both men and women.

Baked steak dinner at Bergholz VFD
In celebration of National Emergency Medical Services Week to the theme "Dedicated for Life," the Bergholz EMS will host a baked steak dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 18 at the Bergholz Volunteer Fire Department.
The menu will include baked steak, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, dessert and beverage.
Cost is by donation, and takeouts will be available.
The event will include free blood pressure checks, and STAT MedEvac will be on hand, weather permitting.
