The Herald-Star

The Upper Ohio Valley Opera Guild welcomed a healthy turnout of more than 180 people who attended its "A Stroll Down Memory Lane" program on April 13 at the Steubenville Country Club. The evening included a version of the Andrew Sisters with songs that brought back or reflected on memorable times, taking patrons back to a different era. The vocalists for the event were the brother and sister duo Laura Jurasko-Mason and Joseph Jurasko and vocalists Katherine Moore of Catholic Central High School and Nicole Prichard of Steubenville High School. The backup band was made up of Theresa Jurasko and friends, including Bill Cashdollar on drums and Matt Gossett on trumpet. They performed a number of tunes made famous by the Andrew Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and others from the World War II era.
