Minority Health Month event Tuesday

Minority Health Month is under way in Ohio, and Urban Mission Ministries/Neighborhood Community Development Center is gearing up for the next event on the calendar. It will be the men’s prostate screening scheduled for Tuesday at the Tony Teramana Cancer Center, Steubenville, beginning at 4 p.m. It is a free event with registration remaining open. For information or to register, call the Urban Mission at (740) 282-8010. Involved in the annual event are, from left, Theresa Lies, Susan Miller, Cynthia Smith, Lisa Brown, Jacqueline Gibson, Dr. John Hyland, Amy Bevilacqua and Kevin Douglas. The committee expressed appreciation to Judy Manfred and the Women in Action Against Cancer Coalition for assisting with funding for the screenings; to Barbe and the Tony Teramana Cancer Center for hosting and organizing the event; and to the doctors donating their time and services, including Dr. Dominic Ferrera, Hyland, Dr. Ayman Fakeh and Dr. Hardev Parihar.
