The Richmond United Methodist Women met March 27 in the church fellowship room with 14 members present.
President Sue Frye gave the welcome and Cheryl Cline, the devotions.
Sandy Burruss presented the March program titled "The True Easter Story." She displayed pictures depicting the Stations of the Cross on the altar table. Burruss explained that a scientific version of the crucifixion has been erected in the town of Groom, Texas, where visitors are welcome to tour, pray and meditate at the site.
The meeting included reports given by Barb Grimm, secretary; Joyce Proffitt, treasurer; and Connie Somerville, committee reports.
Marge Andres read from the prayer calendar and gave a mission focus explaining the use of a prayer cloth. Pam Smith was honored with a prayer cloth presented by Andres.
Peggy Pratt, supportive community, brought cards to be signed for shut-ins.
The RUMW will host the Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association dinner on Tuesday. Debbie Thomas is chairman.
The Day Apart/Spring District Meeting will be held Thursday at the Wintersville United Methodist Church.
Frye closed the meeting with prayer. Proffitt served refreshments.
The next meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on April 24 at in church fellowship room.
