March 24, 2014
The Herald-Star
Jerry Barrila, co-owner of Frank and Jerry’s Furniture and Appliances, and Maggie McGinnis, Herald-Star inside sales manager, practiced their Vanna White poses recently to prepare for the Taste of Home Cooking School, hosted by the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times. The school and cooking show, which offers something for everyone from experts and beginners, is set for April 1 at the Serbian-American Cultural Center in Weirton. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. Frank and Jerry’s will supply all of the appliances that will be used on stage for the cooking show. “Frank and Jerry’s has participated in the Taste of Home Cooking School for the last several years, and we’re happy to partner with the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times for this event. It’s always beneficial to the community,” Barrila said. Other major sponsors this year include M&M True Value Hardware, Create-A-Room, Steubenville Wal-Mart and Weirton Medical Center. - Shae Dalrymple
