March 23, 2014
The Herald-Star
Phyllis Foreman, left, board president, and Ruth Snyder, administrator, look over plans for a community open house planned from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on March 30 at Martha Manor located at 408 N. Fifth St., Steubenville. The residential care facility that can accommodate up to 21 residents recently underwent various improvements, “due to the generosity of the Mary Jane Brooks Charitable Trust,” Snyder said, noting the trust is administered by R. Peterson Chalfant, attorney at law; David D’Anniballe, CPA; D’Anniballe & Co.; and E.M. George, president and chief executive officer of WesBanco. Some of the improvements included interior decorating and painting; a new computer and printer; new beds; paving of the rear parking lot; a new calling system; new draperies; new kitchen equipment; and carpeting. “We welcome our friends to come to the manor and enjoy some punch and cookies in our new surroundings,” Snyder said. — Janice Kiaski
