March 21, 2014

Scott Campbell, from left, and Annie Campbell of M&M True Value Hardware provided a patio set and a grill to Cindy Kotsch, marketing/events manager of the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times, and Maggie McGinnis, inside sales manager for the newspapers. A drawing will be held at the Taste of Home Cooking School, hosted by the newspapers, and the winner will choose either the grill or the patio set, which are valued at about $500 each. The school and cooking show, which offers something for experts and beginners, is set for April 1 at the Serbian-American Cultural Center in Weirton. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m. “This is an annual event that’s always well attended, and M&M True Value Hardware is glad to partner with the Herald-Star for a positive experience in the Ohio Valley,” Campbell said. Other major sponsors this year include Frank and Jerry’s Furniture and Appliances, Create-A-Room, Steubenville Wal-Mart and Weirton Medical Center. — Shae Dalrymple
