CLINE, Viola May, 86, of Bloomingdale, OH, died in her home, Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.
She was born May 30, 1927, in Germano, OH, daughter of the late Franklin and Theresa Turquoise Benedict.
Two brothers also preceded her in death, Jesse and Leon Benedict.
She was a retired rural carrier from the Bloomingdale U.S. Post Office, and had worked for General Telephone in Cadiz, OH.
Viola graduated as Salutatorian of her Cadiz Class of 1945, met and married Miles (Delbert) Cline on June 4, 1950, 63 1/2 years ago, belonged to the Scott Memorial United Methodist Church of Cadiz, and was a member of the Red Hat Society down in Florida.
Besides her husband, Viola is survived by four daughters, Elaine Rietberger and husband, Fred of Brooksville, FL., Cindi Jerman and husband, Bob of Mt. Joy, PA. Beverly Merten and husband, Ralph of Richmond, KY., Joyce Houston of Jewett, OH. Six grandchildren also survive, Fred, Kristin, Richard, Jeffrey, Kaitlyn, Colton; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Blackburn Funeral Home, 324 High St., Hopedale, OH on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, from 4-8 p.m. and on Sunday Feb. 2, 2014, from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. in the Scott Memorial United Methodist Church, 817 E. Market St, Cadiz, OH. Pastor Richard Hasley will officiate.
Burial will be in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates at the convenience of the family.
